What I eat in a day for fat loss | Weight loss

When you are trying to lose weight, you assume you will be hungry, right?

I want to challenge that assumption today by showing you what I eat in a typical day to reach my fat loss/weight loss goals. (I say weight loss because for me, because I'm lifting heavy in a season of fat loss, I know that any weight I lose is weight loss from fat).

For the most part, I'm not hungry. Yes, there are times when I'm 30-60 minutes out from my next meal and I'm ready to eat, but mostly by strategically planning my meals and snacks I keep hunger in check. If you are hungry all the time then it makes the fat loss season reallllly hard to stick to.

A few caveats:

  1. There is an adjustment period when starting a season of fat loss/ weight loss where hunger levels are increased. I find it settles down within 2-3 days usually.

  2. Occasional hunger is ok, like I said above if you are close to a meal time. Lightheaded, no energy hunger is a sign something is off.

So here's what I eat!

Breakfast:

I've been on a BIG French toast kick recently, so this is my fave. Filling and delicious!

It's fast to put together (I prep the egg mixture the night before) and keeps me full until snack time.

Speaking of...

Here's my morning snack. I have an almond milk latte a few times a week, and/or yogurt with fruit or honey nut cheerios on top...I love some crunch on my yogurt!

Moving on to lunch!

This day I had a turkey sandwich for lunch, and veggies. Notice how many veggies I have on my plate? That helps me stay full in a fat loss season!

Afternoon snack:

Usually I have yogurt, or I may do a Robert Irvine FitCrunch bar for a snack if I'm doing an afternoon workout.

Dinner:

Salmon burger salad with veggies, balsamic dressing, black beans and goat cheese. Not gonna lie, it was DELISH.

Again, notice how many veggies I'm eating.

Evening snack:

This is honestly a terrible picture, but this is my chocolate cottage cheese cheesecake with some PB Fit "mousse" on the top. It hits the spot for me! Bonus that it's high protein.

So there you have it, what I eat in a day for fat loss.

What can you take from this?

Some simple action items:

  1. Eat lots and lots of non-starchy veggies

  2. Eat protein at every meal and snack

I hope this inspired you! If you need more help with reaching your fat loss goals, don't hesitate to reach out for help. You can book a discovery call to chat with me abut working together for fat loss.
